It’s 2023. We have come to a new age where popularity rules over experience. Trolling works over facts and people want the game playing experience of the past wrapped in reality TV type of programming. Introduce Alt coin culture and the unethical influencer. Influencers have been around forever, but the web3 space has allowed us to pull the curtain back. We support people that pushed white supremacy and hate and labeled it satire. We support people that take 20+ million and constantly troll the community. Leaders that are the age of youth that first tasted success with Jpeg cartoons now dictating the community actions.
This is culture.
Culture has always dictated a certain subset of markets. But the consumer has always been the dictator. What are you doing? Are you supporting more of what you want to see? or are you only speaking up when issues relate to you?
I am here to buck trends, to change narratives and weather I succeed or not is not important. But the measures of change that we push forward is the point.
Why come and fit in?
Why not fight?
Maybe this is frustration, but I will never understand someone who shows up to take.
The world already is built like this. And we are very close to not being able to call this Web3 anymore.
I hope you see this as more of a motivation and less of a complaint.
